My Process: Creating a Business Summary

Before jumping head first into large projects, I’ll compile a business summary to help me understand your company and the direction you’re going in.

Within the business summary, I like to include information such as:

  • An overview of your company. This includes details about your products or services, as well as your mission statement and origin story (if relevant).
  • The main value proposition of your company. In other words, what are your unique selling points?
  • Who your target customers are?

Getting a good overview of your company, what you do and who you serve helps me gain the insight necessary to deliver a project that satisfies YOUR needs.


I calculate my rates mainly based on work scope. It’s impossible for me to quote all projects the same, as agreements with one client to another will differ. Some clients are recurring, whereas others require only once-off assistance.

For blog articles and other content, however, I charge $0.10-0.35 per word (quoted in USD).
